PokerStars operates in regulated markets and over the years, regulatory controls, and the importance of having a safe and compliant environment in an ever-growing business segment has evolved dramatically. The Product Compliance and Safer Gambling (PC&SG) tribe exists to make sure that regulatory requirements and technical integrations across all our licensed jurisdictions are up to standards.

We are looking for an experienced Agile Product Owner to join our backend squad in the Cluj office. As PO you will take ownership of the backlog for several PC&SG products and services related to Player Accounts Management. You will set the one sprint to 6-month vision of your squad and work closely with Product Managers to bring the roadmap and vision to life.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as the squad facing owner of the product backlog, taking full ownership of the backlog and its prioritisation.

  • Create an environment that supports the squad in aligning to reach their goals and deliver value to the business.

  • Manage the product development lifecycle, translate ideas and high-level deliverables into detailed product solutions.

  • Oversee testing, deployment, and post-deployment management.

  • Take ownership in delivering great products reflected in the quality of your research to user stories to acceptance criteria, signing off on complete features for release, and triaging and prioritising bugs.

  • Measure the success of development, track user engagement, demonstrate net improvement and increase NPS.

  • Partner with PC&SG Product Managers for the longer vision horizon, contributing to the overall product vision and working in harmony to drive toward outcomes.

  • Work on multiple projects at once, employ strong time management skills to prioritise workload.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience as Product Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager in an agile software development environment.

  • Experience in multi-channel digital environments (desktop / mobile / tablet).

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail; ability to talk tech at any level from developer to Director.

  • Proven ability in requirements engineering, gap analysis, business process mapping, building business cases, etc.

  • A creative and analytical approach to problem solving.

  • Ability to function as a self-starter with an emphasis on getting things done.

  • A win together mentality, ensuring to raise risks and issues, and ready to challenge and support the team.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Solid understanding and experience of being part of a scrum team and writing themes, epics, user stories, user acceptance criteria, etc.

  • Deep understanding of backlog prioritisation aiming for the most valuable product.

  • Exposure to QA processes and testing.

  • Knowledge of iGaming industry or Tech Compliance.
