About the role - What you need to know:

 

Reports to the A&H Manager, responsible for searching Group Life, Credit Life and Health business, directly or throw Brokers, and to support our distribution channels with all A&H commercial strategies (Traditional and DDM Business).

 

Responsible for establishing good relationships with brokers and Sponsor and caring about attracting new accounts and looking for the increase in sales of the different A&H lines of business.

 

Mainly functions:

  • Good knowledge of underwriting for A&H Insurance Products.
  • Participate and collaborate in day-to-day business to develop the portfolio of Traditional and Direct Market with the underwriting process by ensuring it complies with the goals and objectives of production and profitability. .
  • Underwriting: awareness of risk analysis and pricing which includes rate building, pricing methodology, claims process and requirements.
  • Communication: strong ability to open communication and developing team and peer relations.
  • Problem-solving: defining the problem, generating alternatives, evaluating, and selecting alternatives and implementing solutions.
  • Negotiating: distribution abilities and negotiation skills to drive results towards sales targets.
  • Operational support: optimizing work process identifying areas of opportunity to reduce variances in organization's processes, deliver high quality products and services meeting needs and requirements from internal and external customers based on delivering solid & consistent results.
  • Carries out techniques and strategies focused on brokers (segment of brokers with A&H specialization).
  • Present the final quote to the commercial team, or together with the commercial executive, to the Broker / Sponsor or Contractor, when required.
  • Negotiate policy conditions (new or renewals) reaching agreements as required by the Broker / Sponsor, always within the margins allowed by the company.
  • Provide technical advice to the Broker / Sponsor or Client when required.
  • Carry out negotiations with assistance providers, within the benefits that are sought to be incorporated into our products.
  • Define and promote business strategies focused on A&H products.
  • Organizes plans and executes sales strategies, proposes concrete solutions to business inconveniences.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Training: 3rd level degree in Business Administration or related careers.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in similar positions in areas such as underwriting.
  • Minimum experience of 3 – 5 years as a commercial and underwriting executive or in a similar position in multinational insurance companies.
  • Knowledge of consumer insurance products (Personal Accidental, Life, and Health Insurance Products).
  • High knowledge of English language
  • Utilities: Advanced Excel.
  • Ability to achieve sales and production goals.
  • Proper communication, listening skills and interpretation.
  • Ease of dealing with rejection.
  • Efficient time management.
  • Persistent.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Willing and able to adapt to change.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure.
