Who you are:

As an Information Security Analyst I with Frost, you keep us safe! In this role, you will be responsible for keeping our data and IT systems secure by analyzing and responding to IT security alerts. You’re a problem solver who enjoys performing and monitoring security processes across the organization. Using your analytical skills and observant mindset you will coordinate and perform application and enterprise vulnerability and penetration testing throughout the organization.

What you’ll do: 

  • Apply knowledge of Frost’s business and IT systems to monitor and analyze cyber security alerts as assigned, and support other IT Security Analysts on a rotational 24/7 coverage schedule as assigned
  • Under the supervision of other IT Security Analysts, begin Triage and investigate potential security incidents, determining their scope and impact
  • Perform and document security processes including compliance monitoring, vulnerability detection, and alert investigation
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to address security concerns and implement remediation measures
  • Perform application and enterprise vulnerability and penetration testing tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain and expand a knowledge of cyber security threats and vulnerabilities, industry and regulatory standards, and market innovations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT Security, in a related field, or 2+ years of experience in IT Operations or Information Security
  • Knowledge of two or more of the following: IDS/IPS, networking, web proxy, SEIM, forensics, automation technologies, vulnerability scanning, configuration monitoring, and/or endpoint detection response
  • Understanding of network protocols, security concepts, and common attack vectors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SSCP or CISSP
  • Experience and ability to write code using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
