We provide clients with dynamic information, platforms, tools, and APIs to effectively manage their portfolios, financial positions, working capital, and supply chains. 

 

The Data and Platforms team is launching an innovative self-service data marketplace platform that enables Services teams to Publish, Manage, Find, and Use data in a well-managed way that aligns with data governance and compliance requirements.  

 

The Product Manager for Data Producer Self-Service is responsible for informing strategy and providing leadership to drive delivery using Agile software development practices. Core responsibilities include building intuitive UI/UX experiences and delivering the core features and capabilities that enable them. Key capabilities include data pipeline creation and management, asset registration and cataloging, data lineage, data quality/observability, data classification, and producer/consumer contracts. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work across multiple stakeholders and lines of business to identify pain points, document and refine problem statements, and drive the roadmap and delivery of technology solutions.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Create and maintain a product vision aligned to business priorities, key user needs, and organizational OKRs 

  • Create and maintain a strategic roadmap including development, launch, and marketing to maximize benefit product capabilities 

  • Take a holistic "whole product" view, focusing on go-to market planning, diligence on policy and governance, continuous operational improvement, budget/investment spend, partnerships, API integrations, training, support, etc. 

  • Conduct user research, empathy sessions, and work with UX & Design teams to refine our understanding of user personas, their needs, and how we can solve their problems 

  • Measure & articulate the value and impact of our platform & services 

  • Research the market to inform an evolving view of technology trends and best practices, leading solutions providers, and open-source solutions 

  • Maintain product roadmap, define deliverable and feature epics with clear business requirements and expectations 

  • Work with UX and technology teams to translate business requirements into user stories, and oversee timely and quality delivery using Agile methodologies 

  • Lead day-to-day product management ceremonies keeping delivery on track, helping the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results 

  • Appropriately assess and manage risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets 

  • Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, and policy adherence, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices. Effectively escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency, as well as supervise the activity of others to create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards 

Qualifications: 

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience 

  • Experience managing multi-functional teams and Agile delivery 

  • Functional experience in product management and product development of a software solution 

  • Experience with data management & governance, data discovery, data cataloging & search, and/or data self-service required 

  • Financial services experience, in Cash/Liquidity Management, Payments or Trade Finance a plus  

  • Experience in applying large language models and GenAI to search, chat agents, and guided analytics is a plus  

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in priorities or requirements  

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, in particular adding structure to ambiguity  

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication  

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment  

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$163,600.00 - $245,400.00
