Position Summary

This is a Senior Network Engineer role within the Network Engineering and Design department. This individual must be an expert in Software Defined Networking with deep understanding of Networking Infrastructure and Network Topologies. This individual will be responsible for creating network designs, implement network deployments and provide level 4 operations support. This individual will lead the projects for crafting and deploying Network Infrastructure Solutions as per the business needs. This individual will interact with business partners, project managers, infrastructure implementation managers, facilities partners, server admins, application owners and vendors for delivery and maintaining service level agreements.

They must be able to break down complex business requirements into workable tasks and solutions from network infrastructure standpoint.

In this role, responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Design network diagrams with Visio

- Manage Cisco ACI Fabric Network Infrastructure as a product owner

- Manage project tasks for network deployments

- Able to perform routing and switching

- Able to perform weekend and late night network deployments and maintenances

- Required to be on call for a week every month for level 4 operations support

- Required to provide onsite support in data centers

- Manage and maintain Cisco Nexus Dashboard Tools such as Nexus Dashboard Insights & Orchestrator

- Maintain proper documentation for entire SDN environment

- Adhere to all established methodologies, standards, and guidelines

- Foster a positive environment and demonstrate successful relationship building with cross-functional teams and business partners

- Organizational skills, to work in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects and tasks concurrently

- Competent, self-starter with ability to identify and bring forward ideas to improve the overall support of Network Infrastructure

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Network Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of Cisco ACI Fabric experience
  • 5+ years of Data Center Networking experience
  • 5+ years of routing and switching experience
  • 5+ years of architecture and design experience using Visio
  • 3+ years of Cisco Nexus Dashboard experience
  • 3+ years of experience in scripting and automation tools
  • 3+ years of Production Support work experience, analytical skills for business reported issues

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in and/or leading dynamic cross-competency teams using a structured project methodology is strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Functional understanding of Routers, Switches, F5s and Firewalls
- Possess ability to understand project dependencies and pro-actively fulfil all dependencies to meet deliverables on time
- Competent, self-starter with ability to identify and bring forward ideas to improve the overall support of Network Infrastructure
- A willingness to learn new tools and technologies on a continuous basis
- Be a confident member of an evolving team that is willing to work hard to make a difference for peers, business and other IT professionals.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
