System Integration & Controls (SIC) team has an opening position for a controls engineer. In this role, you will work on controls development and tuning of excavator implements as well as ease of use features. You will be involved in NPI and CPI projects to improve the controllability and performance of excavators. You will continually learn about advancing machine technology and customer demands. You will also interact with other business units and grow your business network. You will spend a big portion of your time at Ono Proving Grounds (OPG) to work directly with the machines.
 

Job Duties/Responsibilitiesmay include, but are not limited to:

• Test and tune excavator implement controls and ease of use features.
• Test controls on the machine and in simulation environment.
• Collect and analyze data to understand machine performance and identify issues.
• Identify and recommend controls changes to resolve issues.
• Document and communicate results to team members as well as other business units.
• Learn from other team members to grow and become independent on the machine.
• Help train and grow new team members.

• 油圧ショベルの制御開発、調整/チューニングおよびテスト

• 実際の油圧ショベル機体上、およびシミュレーション環境で制御ロジックを作成しテストする
• 油圧ショベルの動き/性能を理解し、問題があればそれを特定するためのデータ収集と分析を行う
• 制御開発において問題点を特定し、変更点を提案する
• 開発結果や業務の内容を文書化し、チームメンバーや他の部門に説明する
• 他のチームメンバーから油圧ショベルの基礎/応用などを学び、成長/自立する
• 新しいチームメンバーの育成と成長を支援する
• 場合によっては上記に限定されず、他の油圧ショベルに関わる業務もあります

Required Qualifications:

• Fundamental knowledge of Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science.
• Relevant work experience. 
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate in both Japanese and English

• 機械工学、電気電子工学、情報工学、材料科学の基礎知識
• ソフトウェアなど関連業務経験
• 高い分析能力と問題解決能力
• 英語で簡単な意思疎通ができる

Desired Qualifications:

• Willingness to travel to Ono Proving Grounds (OPG) and work with excavators.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Education or experience in controls or machine testing.
• Familiarity with development and tuning tools like Matlab, Simulink, Canape is a plus.

• オフィス(明石市)および試験場(小野市)の両方で勤務できる方 (大半は試験場で働くことになります)
• 油圧ショベルに乗って作業できる方 (油圧ショベルを操作するための免許は入社後に取得する制度があります)
• 対人スキルの高い方
• 制御技術及び機体テストに関わる業務に携わったことがある方
• Matlab, Simulink, CANape などの開発ツールの経験がある方
