Department Overview

Secure Products Group (SPG) focuses on the delivery of encryption, key management, and authentication solutions that protect the mission-critical communication of Motorola customers. Our goal is to maintain secure and encrypted communication channels in various fields, including law enforcement and emergency services, as well as intelligence agencies that value cybersecurity.


Job Description

Our team has full ownership of the product being developed. It is entirely developed and tested in our R&D center in Krakow. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, testing and maintaining Java application that is used to generate, store and distribute keys for radio authentication and air interface encryption in Motorola LMR systems.

We work in a hybrid model, at least 1 day a week in the Krakow office is expected.

Technologies:

Java EE (migration from 8 to 21), Wildfly, Postgres, Python, GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, BitBucket, Copilot, VMware ESXI, KVM, Ansible, Maven, Ant, HSM.


Basic Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Java software development.

  • Good understanding of client-server architecture.

  • Working knowledge of REST API design.

  • Engineering practices like TDD, Clean Code, BDD.

  • Strong team player and good communication skills.

  • Ability to lead technical initiatives and features.

  • Engagement in complex tasks.

  • Defining, and maintaining architecture with the team.

  • Communicative English - verbal and written.


 

Experience in following areas will be treated as an additional asset:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or a related field.

  • Automatization of application deployments and tests.

  • Experience in front-end development.

  • Good knowledge of computer networks

  • Security related experience, CompTIA Security+ certification.

  • Working in Scrum or Kanban.
