What we do: 

The People Relations team is dedicated to fostering a healthy, productive relationship between employees and the organization. Their role involves promoting a positive work environment, investigating employee concerns, and resolving conflicts that may impact workplace dynamics. Additionally, the People Relations team oversees the company compliance standards, policies, and accommodations.   

 

What You'll do:  

  • Manage and ensure compliance with all employment law regulations, social relations and practices for countries in EMEA where TDD operates. 
  • Proactively identify, manage and monitor risks and propose improvements and risk mitigation strategies. 
  • Interpret, communicate and maintain ER policies and processes. 
  • Responsible for creating regional policies to include creating/updating regional EMEA employee handbook including countries where TDD operates. 
  • Effectively manage ER cases including investigations, disciplinary issues, grievances, interpersonal employee conflicts, performance management concerns, involuntary exits (including redundancies) and other employee-related matters to successful resolution. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in the employee experience by building and facilitating people relations and compliance processes that emphasize fair, consistent, and respectful outcomes. 
  • Lead and own the end-to-end resolution of complex employee relations issues. 
  • Partner with Legal as needed to ensure policies and practices comply with applicable country and local laws and regulations. 
  • Continue to refine and evolve regional guidelines and compliance repository. 
  • Ensure required compliance and regulatory trainings are launched and tracked according to local requirements. 

 

Who you are:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; relevant master’s degree, or law degree a plus. 
  • Experience working in employee/labour relations with solid, working knowledge of relevant best practices. 
  • Relevant experience working in ER/LR, HR or HR shared service function. 
  • Strong ability to build trust, along with demonstrated ability to drive and lead results. 
  • Experience with EU work councils, unions and negotiations. 
  • Stellar communication skills, conflict management and resolution skills with experience in delivering sensitive messaging of all types to a wide variety of stakeholders. 
  • Results driven ability with problem analysis and resolution skills. 
  • Openness to occasional travel as needed. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Proven ability to work with all levels of the organization and across functional areas.  
  • Agile and able to adapt as projects and priorities change and able to remain composed, positive, and gritty in the face of any setbacks or challenges.   
  • Able to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives and to discover solutions and build consensus.  
  • Generous and open communication style.
