The Role
Under the leadership of Partners Sonia Goumenis and Andrew Jinks, this is an opportunity for a Senior Lawyer or Senior Associate with general banking and finance experience to join a specialised practice. Working specifically on securitisation transactions there is the potential for high levels of autonomy and client contact for the right individual.
The team's focus is securitisation, and you can expect a lot of contact with them. The securitisation practice has been a Band 1 Chambers ranked practice for well over 10 years with Clayton Utz recognised as one of the go-to securitisation firms in the Australian market. This is a unique opportunity to work with recognised leaders whose client base includes regular issuers as well as arrangers, warehouse funders, trustees and other participants.
The team champion flexible work and effectively connect and collaborate both in-person and virtually. Via mentorship and training, you will be supported and set up to thrive. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Sydney.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
5-7 years' general banking and financial services experience;
Experience with securitisation transactions and a want to specialise in this area;
Strong drafting and negotiation skills;
Interpersonal and client relationship management capabilities;
The ability to prioritise your time across a number of busy matters;
Strong academic results.
