Get to Know the Opportunity:  

The Leave & Disability Operational Readiness Manager is responsible for ensuring Voya’s organization delivers innovative, dependable, and efficient solutions, to support the Leave and Disability claims organization. This position provides a consistent framework for operationalizing new solutions, system enhancements, ensuring regulatory compliance and ongoing maintenance to support the overall offering. 

Please Note:  Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule. 

The Contributions You’ll Make:

  • Business lead for operational readiness; responsible for ensuring processes and people are aligned in execution and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain business process to maximize technological capabilities; subject matter expert on system and business process, including identifying continuous improvement opportunities. 
  • Proactively identify and submit enhancement opportunities. Regularly connect with system and process users for feedback and ideas. Maintain list and track status of all requests. 
  • Use knowledge and expertise to analyze opportunities and make planning and prioritization decisions on behalf of the business. 
  • Define reference materials and training needs for onsite teams.
  • Participate in projects and continuous improvement initiatives; ensure business deliverables are met within scope.
  • Represent business needs and determine success measures for rollouts. Work closely with Relationship Management, Plan Management, IT, project management, business analyst, training, and operations to ensure business needs and success measures are understood. 
  • Use experience and knowledge to make decisions and communicate outcomes to internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Other duties as identified.  

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:   

  • 10+ years related experience in group disability and leave experience.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Initiative and ability to find solutions, working both with team and independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience managing multiple initiatives; adaptable to change and shifting priorities.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree IT or Business
  • Leadership experience a plus; leading by influence is a must.
  • Agile environment experience

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$105,700 - $132,120 USD
