Job Overview

Responsible for supporting Logistics and supply chain operations for the AMS GEOs for the VPS, Global Field Operations organization. Covering regional and site inventories, goods movements, deliveries, claims and returns.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manages and supports US VPS network operations of site stock rooms, 3PL depots, and transporters. Including but not limited to cycle counts, inventory discrepancies, inbound receipts and outbound issues.
  • Engage in due diligence investigations and prepare for rolling out new sites and stocking locations for VPS service business in US.
  • Implement the solutions, physical stock room/s, SAP and IT, 3PL SOPs, customs brokerage services if needed. Working with Supply Chain for stocking of and importation of all seed stock and future inventory rebalancing.
  • Manages and works with internal and external stakeholders and 3PLs within the forward and reverse logistics operations, to include processing of out bound shipments, creating international paperwork and carrier airwaybills.  
  • Resolves issues in distribution, customs, and carriers’ operations.
  • Drives continuous improvement programs, initiates and operationalizes cost reduction initiatives, innovates and develops solutions to solves issues and enhance processes, systems, reports, infrastructure and organizes a variety of logistics activities to deliver.
  • This position provides a wide variety of activities, learning and exposure to supply chain and logistics operations and many opportunities to engage subject matter experts and operational professionals.
  • Serves as Logistics point of contact for Supply Chain and AMS VPS in regard to inventory accuracy and issues, managing failure notifications and in-transit reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree or certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management disciplines (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Strong organizational skills and a detail orientation to complete necessary activities showing success with tight deadlines and regulatory compliance is a must.
  • Experience in logistics and supply chain operations including warehouse inventory and transportation management, customs processes, and in 3PL operations.
  • Must be Fluent in English.
  • Advanced experience and skills utilizing SAP ERP products.
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Project, SAP, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Business travel < 15%
