We’re currently looking for a Senior Vehicle Connected Services Business Development Planner to join our team in Franklin, TN.

Job Summary:

The Senior Vehicle Connected Services (VCS) Business Development Planner will be responsible for delivering on connected vehicle business opportunities for a business vertical.  They will partner closely with internal and external business customers, creating and delivering cases to drive revenue, value, satisfaction, loyalty, and brand health.  VCS is on the cutting edge of the automotive space, and business development is leading the way into new business opportunities.

B. Job Responsibilities

Job functions Include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for developing and delivering Nissan connected vehicle benefits (i.e. revenue, cost save, etc.) to internal and external customers
  • Develop deep financial understanding of telematics benefits with Nissan PDs, Engineering and other executives, to help Nissan meet/exceed industry benchmarks.
  • Provide financial plans and models to accelerate Nissans bottom line benefits associated with Telematics. Spearhead initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy and act as liaison with planning to help align technology plan with business plan.
  • Manage multiple telematics initiatives in a cross functional environment. Identify and help develop strategic partnerships required for telematics.
  • Manage the complex Telematics’ relationship with Legal, Government Affairs, and Finance relative to telematics deployments.
  • Review, manage, and negotiate business contracts, including consultation with legal, VCS team members, and business partners.

1. Job Knowledge and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communications skills, proven record of building internal and external business relationships, customer focus, and understanding of technology and the telematics business.  The ideal candidate will also have experience in contract law and financial analysis.
  • At least 5-7 years of professional experience in automotive, with preference for related, technically-focused areas (i.e. telematics, connected car, product planning, etc.) and business development experience. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • 10% domestic travel.
