About the Role
Microchip products are at the heart of millions of consumer devices and networks, and we are looking for an exceptional person to join our team as a Manager Software Development.
Microchip Denmark is seeking a Software Manager to lead talented engineers developing advanced embedded software for Ethernet switches. This is a key role in shaping next-generation networking technologies within a global organization.
Your Role
• Lead and mentor one or more software development teams.
• Plan and monitor project execution, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Facilitate roadmap planning by gathering input from technical leads and aligning with stakeholders in marketing, system engineering, and other departments.
• Balance priorities between bug fixing, maintenance, and new feature development.
• Help drive status reporting by coordinating input from the team and ensuring updates are communicated effectively in cross-functional forums.
• Drive onboarding and continuous development of team members.
Requirements/Qualifications:
We’re looking for someone who brings a mix of leadership, technical insight, and strong communication skills. Ideally, you have:
• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10 years experience in the embedded SW, electronics or semiconductor industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and manage input from multiple stakeholders.
• A disciplined approach to software design and development.
• Experience collaborating with design engineers and supporting product deployment.
• Self-motivation and a collaborative mindset for working in a global environment.
