About the Role

We are currently expanding our team in Bucharest and are looking for a talented person for the Lead Linux Systems Administrator position.

You Will

• Install, Configure and Upgrade Ubuntu and Debian Linux Server
• Monitor the systems and the applications, performance analysis
• Manage manual and automated software deployments
• Work with Highly-available and redundant systems
• Automate various tasks through scripting
• Troubleshoot Software and Hardware (Debian Linux - Environment)
• On call availability during night hours on a rotational basis
• Coach and mentor team members

You Have

• 4+ years of experience in server administration or technical support
• Strong knowledge of the Linux operating systems (if it's Debian or Ubuntu, even better)
• Strong Knowledge of MySQL and InnoDB
• Strong understanding of the Apache web server, SSL and various configuration scenarios
• Know how a network works, what IP is and commonly used communication protocols
• Understanding of how a Linux Firewall works and be able to build one
• Knowledge of intrusion detection/prevention techniques
• Fluent in speaking and writing English

Nice to Have

• Understand the concepts of "high availability"
• Have experience of Big Data technologies, including setting up and running Hadoop clusters
• Be able to understand code written in Python or PHP
• Have knowledge about regular expressions
• Know what is what when it comes to hardware
• Experience using GIT
• French or Romanian knowledge
