JOB SUMMARY

Below are the detailed requirements and responsibilities for this position:

Initial Responsibilities

· Server Maintenance: Execute procedures such as patching.
· Automation Configuration and Troubleshooting: Ansible, RedHat Satellite, Puppet
· Review Reports: Analyze vulnerability reports and access logs.
· Incident Management and Response
· Troubleshooting: RedHat Linux OS, Automation configuration
· Server Builds.

Must Haves

· Linux Administration: Experience with the RedHat ecosystem.
· Local Firewall Configuration: Using firewalld and iptables.
· Domain Integration: Experience with sssd and realmd.
· Network Configuration: Checking network settings, configuring DHCP and static IP.
· Package Management: Using yum/dnf.
· Logging: Familiarity with system log files, journalctl, log rotation and forwarding.
· Storage Management: Experience with LVM, local storage, SAN storage (multipath configuration), and file systems (XFS, ext4, NFS, CIFS).
· File Transfer: Using openssh (SFTP), rsync etc
· SELinux: Enabling, disabling, checking for denials, and configuring.
· Excellent customer service
o Support internal application and development teams.
· Automation/Configuration Management/Infrastructure as Code:
o Red Hat Satellite or Foreman
o AAP or AWX
o Puppet
o Git
o YAML

· Scripting:
o Shell scripting (bash)
o Python
· Troubleshooting:
o Authentication/authorization issues: Checking log files, local user accounts, and domain accounts.
o Permission issues.

o Networking issues: Familiarity with ping, nslookup/dig, nmap. netcat
o SELinux.

Nice to Have

· SSL Certificates:
o Basics: Base64 encode certs, Java keystores (JKS, PKCS12).
o Checking certificates by URL and files: Using openssl, Java keytool.
· VMware:
o Logging into servers over VMware console.
o Extending resources: CPU, RAM, storage.
o Adding rescue boot ISO and booting server in rescue mode.
· Containers

This position is eligible for remote work in one of the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming. This position will require some travel for office meetings, as needed, to our corporate office in Tulsa, OK.

Job Profile Summary

Perform problem management and configuration management related to IT infrastructure and support.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manage problems which escalate beyond the status of incident. Coordinate the appropriate personnel to troubleshoot and resolve the problem
  • Perform root cause analysis on resolved problems. Design and develop appropriate monitoring or other proactive measures to prevent future occurrences
  • Mentor Tier II staff during problem resolution and root case analysis to increase efficiency and knowledge of Tier II personnel
  • Analyze and document the architecture and configuration of application infrastructure
  • Provide configuration and engineering for new technologies
  • Lead the support and configuration activities for technologies where you have been designated a subject matter expert
  • Complete tasks assigned in order to accomplish approved application and/or infrastructure change controls
  • Collaborate with other IT personnel on technology and support issues
  • Consult with applications and infrastructure personnel on new initiatives and the impacts they will have on infrastructure

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or an equivalent combination of formal education and job-related experience

Work Experience

  • Experience in the support and function of:
    • Infrastructure hardware configuration
    • IP networking
    • Windows Server and/or Unix operating systems
    • Shared storage technologies
    • Virtualization technologies
    • Event monitoring, logging and data collection techniques

  • Training and experience relative to:
    • Operating systems software
    • Computer hardware
    • Networking
    • Communications
    • Security administration
    • Data base administration

  • Experienced interacting with external customers and vendors relationships

Expected Salary Range

$94,000.00 - $142,000.00
