What you will do

In this vital role you will report to the India Compensation & Benefits Lead and will design, implement, communicate, manage and govern Amgen India’s Compensation & Benefits programs. You will serve as a member of the broader Amgen India total rewards team and interact regularly with HR and business leaders in India. With an eye towards advanced analytics and digital innovation you will be asked to contribute new ideas and continuously evolve our compensation, benefits, and recognition programs

  • Provide advice, consultancy, and analytical support to your client groups.
  • Design, implementation and administration (incl. training and communication) of new compensation & benefits programs to ensure alignment with the market and corporate C&B philosophy in India. Liaison with global comp team to align India pay philosophy with global pay philosophy.
  • Partner with Amgen India’s benefits broker to ensure smooth benefits execution
  • Advise on retention strategies and provide recommendations (both financial and non-financial)
  • Coach and provide guidance on the execution of Amgen’s C&B philosophies and policies to HRBPs and Talent Acquisition
  • Act as a key advisor on job leveling and organizational design initiatives.
  • Lead benchmarking initiatives to ensure compensation & benefits programs are market competitive and support the attraction, retention and recognition of top talent.
  • Stay abreast of compensation trends in India and recommend strategies to support the talent needs of the organization.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree OR
  • Master’s degree and 4 to 6 years of HR operations, compensation, and benefits experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 to 8 years of HR operations, compensation, and benefits experience OR
  • Diploma and 10 to 12 years of HR operations, compensation, and benefits experience
  • Experience in compensation design, communication, technology and implementation
  • Strong project management experience
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday experience preferred), payroll software, and compensation analysis tools
  • Excellent user of Office Programs as Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences
