The Associate Credit Maintenance Analyst is an entry level position responsible for capturing and recording data related to credit exposure, obligors and facilities in relevant credit systems in coordination with the Operations - Services team. The overall objective of this role is to maintain data quality in credit systems, monitor credit exposure and adhere to overall credit policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Commercial Banking Sales in the origination and management of customer credit facilities
  • Execute assistance for credit underwriting with product solutions, credit structure, and with the analysis in assessing credit worthiness within industries such as Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Healthcare, and Agriculture
  • Provide input on credit facilities by consulting on credit policy compliance, operational and system constraints, and service performance risk
  • Oversee credit quality documentation to monitor timeliness of credit reporting and the integrity of credit data
  • Assess credit deliverables associated with assigned credit relationship exposures, prioritize to ensure timely customer assistance and completion of portfolio monitoring requirements
  • Ensure legal and regulatory requirements are maintained in credit origination and portfolio advisory for diverse customer base
  • Provide consultative assistance regarding product terms and conditions, and outside enhancements
  • Monitor and escalate identified risk and compliance issues beyond credit origination team as well as maintain expertise to ensure compliance with complex global credit policy, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and practices
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
