JOB DESCRIPTION: Position is based in Charlotte, NC, some teleworking may be permitted. Travel to Lowe's offices may be required. 


Partners with the product team to help inform the priorities within a set of products, applications, and/or services. Manages software engineers who design, build and maintain solutions within a set of technology products and/or services; oversees the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions. Ensures the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse stakeholders by building and maintaining trusting relationships with internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior management. Resolves escalated issues throughout the development, configuration, and modification of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions. Creates and/or leads the creation of SOPs, OKRs, and overall operationalization of assigned services or applications. Hires, trains, and develops talent for growth opportunities; monitors team/individual’s morale and engagement to maintain highly effective and collaborative environments. Controls project risks by analyzing and identifying trigger events, establishing response and contingency plans and recommending ways to mitigate future risks. Manages the completion of Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and responsible for ensuring that User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is completed successfully. Provides input for departmental budget and forecasting, and manages expenses associated with initiatives within scope of responsibility. Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, support and scalability of robust, reliable and secure business and enterprise software solutions. Partners with engineers and architects to ensure optimal technology solutions are built by the engineering team. Ensures the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse project stakeholders by building and maintaining trusting relationships with internal customers. Influences and establishes best in class engineering practices through solid design decisions and tools. Coordinates the estimation and execution of plans, schedules, and resource forecasts for the services or applications in his/her scope. Manages multiple services or applications and provides resources in support of the applications by leveraging partnerships with technology teams, vendors, and business leaders. Leads team through all technology solution development phases by ensuring team understands and adheres to company methodology, policies, standards, and controls. Provides leadership to the team by attracting and hiring talented individuals, setting goals and communicating clear expectations, providing timely and constructive feedback as well as meaningful developmental opportunities, managing performance, providing resources and support as needed, and sponsoring and leading team members through change.


JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job requires a Bachelor's Degree* in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of experience in any job title/occupation involving IT experience or a related field. *Employer will accept single degree or combination of degrees, diplomas and/or professional experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.


Must have prior experience in: 


•    8 years of experience in:
•    System architecture and design experience including data components;
•    Leading a large-scale team/project within an Agile environment;
•    Systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions;
•    Hands-on work experience on Software development, DevOps Practices, CICD & automation on tools Kubernetes, Jenkins, Drone, Consul, and Vault;
•    Relational databases including Oracle or SQL Server, No-sql databases including Cassandra, MongoDB and Couchbase;
•    Leading project or technical teams with or without formal direct report responsibility; this includes experience providing technical direction, thought leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members;
•    Performance, automation engineering and implementation of Disaster Recovery strategy;
•    Open commerce framework (OCP); and
•    Jmeter, Gatling and Selenium.
•    5 years of experience in:
•    Java stack with REST Services/Microservices with spring boot, spring MVC and Micronaut;
•    Splunk, ELK, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus and Sky walking;
•    Analyzing and Scaling large systems and large organizations, web and mobile apps development; and
•    Building business critical and highly available capabilities.
