Group Launch Manager

Job Overview:

The Group Launch Manager will lead the successful launch of multiple products or features across different teams within the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of software development, product management, and cross-functional team collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality products to market.

Responsibilities: 

  • Product Launch Strategy & Planning: Develop and manage comprehensive launch plans for software products or features, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines. Collaborate with Product Managers to define the scope, objectives, and success metrics for each launch. 

  • Cross-functional leadership: Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful product launches.  

  • Project Management: Create and maintain detailed project schedules, track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery of software launches. 

  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of launch managers, providing guidance, process improvement, mentorship, and performance management.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on launch progress, challenges, and resolutions.

  • Market Readiness: Ensure all aspects of the product launch, including documentation, training, marketing materials, and customer support readiness, are ready for the market.

  • Post-Launch Evaluation: Lead post-launch reviews to assess the success of the product launch, gather feedback, and analyze the performance of product launches against key metrics to identify areas for improvement in future launches. 

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in the launch process by incorporating lessons learned and best practices into future plans.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

Experience

  •  5+ years of experience in product management, project management, or a similar role within the software industry.
  •   Proven track record of successfully launching software products or features.
  •   Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

  •  Strong project management skills with experience using project management tools 
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  •  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

Knowledge:

  •  In-depth understanding of software development processes, including Agile methodologies.
  •  Familiarity with product lifecycle management.

Salary: $135K - $180K + Bonus
