Job Summary
The Coordinator, Blood Donor Services & Cord Blood Bank is responsible for the coordination of the remaining Cord Blood Units stored at CHOC. Manages the available inventory and functions as a department resource for NMDP/CBB chart compliance. Provides administrative, clerical and blood donor recruitment support. Participates in the registration, testing, and screening of potential blood donors. Ensures daily donor center readiness through supply inventory management and daily document control. Manages the blood donor recognition program. Maintains Designated Donation groups.Pay Range
Minimum $24.96 Midpoint $33.07 Maximum $41.19Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
* Required: Minimum two (2) years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, blood donor collections and/or cord blood registry work.
Education
* Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or Clinical Medicine.
Training
* Required: None Required
Specialized Skills
* Required: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; self-directed, motivated and very detail oriented. Strong interpersonal, organizational and collaboration skills. Proficient Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area. Able to work in a highly regulated department with strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.

* Required: None.
