Expected Contributions
- Leads and provides strategic input on cultural strategies, supporting MVW-wide Sales and Marketing initiatives, and liaising with the Integrated Marketing Communications team, Legal, and external M&S partners.
- Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and a deep understanding of Japanese culture, consulting on cultural aspects to enhance consumer engagement and drive purchasing behavior through strategically positioned creative executions.
- Drives collaboration with Marketing and Sales teams in North America and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cultural nuances.
- Oversees the creation of marketing and sales materials and communications in both English and Japanese, ensuring cultural relevance and effectiveness.
- Manages relationships with external vendors in North America and Asia, including translators, photographers, digital marketing agencies, and direct mail houses, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Partners with external Marketing and Sales vendors (e.g., Bonvoy, Airlines) in North America and Asia to create content and coordinate direct mail and email campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
- Collaborates with the Sales Center Technology Department to ensure all necessary translations in Japanese are accurately implemented upon updates to the English version.
- Works closely with the Integrated Marketing Communications team to create and update all owner communications in Japanese, including guides, welcome emails, and other correspondence, ensuring cultural sensitivity and clarity.
- Leads the development of Sales and Marketing training materials in Japanese, working with the Training and Development department to ensure comprehensive and culturally appropriate content.

Specific Candidate Profile (the education, experience, skills and attributes that are important for this position)
- Minimum of 6 years advertising agency account management, in-house communications, project management or equivalent experience required
- Process development and management experience a plus
- Must be fluent and English and must be a native Japanese speaker as the position requires reading/writing/speaking/translating Japanese Work with Global Brand Strategy & Creative Delivery to create owner testimonial videos and arrange all necessary items in Japanese including communicate with owners and attend during filming.
- Experienced in creating materials in all mediums including print, video and digital.
- Marketing or sales experience a plus
