In this position you will include:
- Plans and procures materials by commodity based in order to support manufacturing requirements.
- Works pro-actively, on a daily basis, with the planner, global commodity manager and other departments to ensure schedules are maintained and material is readily available.
- Complete purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions.
- Ensures that orders are delivered on time and at cost an continuous supply of required materials and communicate any supply problems with solution.
- Review MRP materials to support manufacturing and provide demand forecast to supplier as well as get back the commit from supplier then monitors and maintains inventory levels.
- Establishes and performs database maintenance in order to minimize inventory investments and load; i.e., price, order quantities, MOQ, lead times, buyer/planner data fields, etc.
- Handle correspondence concerning over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and report such changes to the interested parties in a timely manner as required.
- Request for RFQ, negotiation Price, Lead time and Payment term. Participates in cost reductions and productivity improvement programs.
- Sourcing gating components for builds at global Contract Manufacturer, procure test cards and fixtures for various programs, manage and place “End of Life” electronic components for our CM’s worldwide.
- Work with Engineer, Program Management and Global purchasing team to monitor status and follow up the overall purchasing process starting from RFQ to shipment delivery in order to support all new products, product transfers, mass production products on time.
- Work with IQA, SQE and Engineer to processes disposition or material rejects and obsolete materials.
- Provides feedback to suppliers on their performance such as responsiveness, delivery and cost reduction performance.
- Work with vendors to improve and maintain relationships current relationships.
- Follow and enforce any and all additional duties or responsibilities assigned by Manager.
Requirements:
- 8+ years Global Purchasing experience and related disciplines
- 8+ years MRP systems experience and Oracle expertise mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field with major coursework in Supply Chain management or equivalent
- Experience with root cause determination through Oracle tools and reporting
- Proficient in Excel –manipulating data, exporting and extracting data for the purpose of report creation.
- Power point and Agile knowledge
- Strong communication, problem solving, and coordinating skill.
- Able to work under pressure.
