This is an APAC-based role.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Member of the HR Shared Services team responsible for leading the Employee Relations Advisor teams including related Employee Relations programs and service catalogue, investigation quality, service level agreements, interaction with all stakeholders, projects, and deliverables, associated key performance indicator (KPI) metrics, and continuous quality improvement. This position reports to the Sr. Director of HR Shared Services. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Directs and supports global Employee Relations teams (excluding U.S.) providing support services for all business lines which includes providing appropriate and applicable coaching, advice, conflict resolution, and performance counseling, and disciplinary actions in accordance with Company core values and mission, Human Rights, Workplace Rights and Labor and Employment Principles, Global Social and Labor Standards Policy, sub-policies, and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, along with all applicable laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.

  • Delivers standardization and consistency of processes and employee experiences across the business, sharing best practice recommendations and continuous improvement solutions, with a focus on management capability.

  • Monitors employee complaint investigations and outcomes to ensure consistency in process, thoroughness, objectivity, and remediation and/or follow up measures occur and are in line with company policies and procedures, in compliance with regulatory requirements to safeguard the uniform and equitable treatment of employees.

  • Partakes in or directs the appeals process.

  • Ensures works councils and labor unions are engaged as required and teams are following all mandatory and agreed upon processes. 

  • Continuously assesses quality of procedures, SOPs and SLAs and implements changes as necessary to ensure client satisfaction.  Addresses concerns of a diverse scope and demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Reviews and analyzes employee relations data including to provide updates to HR business leaders including insight to high volume areas and trends along with any recommended remediation.

  • Works in strong partnership with the Centers of Excellence teams and other cross-functional teams to provide support, connection, and collaboration on all employee related programs.

  • Participates in or directs others in policy development and supports the communication and implementation of policies.

  • Stays current on employment and labor practices.

  • Responsible for team management including performance, hiring, retention, staffing levels, performance appraisals, coaching and development opportunities.

  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • This position has direct reports.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience directly in Human Resources with a high concentration in Employee Relations and employment law, works councils/union relationships, collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration.

  • Demonstrated ability to be an agent of change. Must be able to manage multiple and conflicting priorities.

  • Is resilient and can navigate challenging or difficult situations with the ability to hold crucial conversations. 

  • Collaborates at all levels through listening, sharing and building upon ideas, challenging others’ ideas respectfully, compromises and adapts in order to achieve common goals that are the best interests of the organization and the teams involved.

  • Competence in software applications relating to human resources such as case management systems and Workday is preferred along with the suite of Microsoft Office products. 

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills - both written and verbal including English

  • Can work independently and can manage multiple and competing priorities.

  • Has strong business acumen in addition to Human Resources skills.

  • Has an unquestionable commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and privacy.

  • Healthcare experience a plus.
