JOB OVERVIEW:
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for a targeted group of our customer base by assessing and focusing on optimization, relationship management, and growth potential.  The effort of the Inside Sales Representative is to help optimize our customer base by managing down workload through customer efficiency initiatives and maximizing the profitability of their target group of accounts.  The Inside Sales Representative will collaborate closely with our Sales team, particularly the Sales Support team, to maintain strong customer relationships and support growth of their accounts and the goals of the overall department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Optimization
o    Conduct thorough assessments of managed customer accounts to understand their current profitability.
o    Develop profitability enhancement strategies for each customer, including pricing adjustments, minimum order quantities and upselling opportunities.
o    Identify opportunities to optimize customer efficiency, enact systems toward these goals, which can include customer exit strategies.
o    Enact strategies that engage customer project opportunities, either proper team engagement or protection of internal resources.

Customer Relationship Management
o    Build and grow strong relationships with managed accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.  Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
o    Be first point of contact for web inquiries to evaluate feasibility and identify opportunities for further partnership. 

Customer Growth Potential
o    Analyze customers purchase history, behavior, and potential growth opportunities.
o    Continuously monitor managed accounts to ensure ongoing profitability, growth, and order efficiency.
o    Create and deliver regular reports on the progress on the profitability and efficiency goals for your managed account list.

JOB EXPERIENCE:
4+ years of related professional and/or customer service experience preferred  


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
•    Ability to multi-task simultaneously with prioritization and accuracy.
•    Strengths in systematic approach to work/tasks and accomplishing goals.
•    Strong communication and relationship-building skill with both internal teams and customers.
•    Ability to remain professional and courteous in all circumstances with external stakeholders/customers and internal team members.
•    Self-starter with a proactive approach in taking initiative to ask questions, correct learning gaps, and advance their knowledge.
•    Strong critical thinking skills including, ability to analyze data to recommend customer strategies
•    Math skills to help calculate product percentages, weights, pricing, etc. 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Must be tech-savvy and comfortable working on computer-related tasks most of the day.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.


EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, or closely related field preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•    Sit and use a computer for a long period of time.
•    Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents.
•    Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, hand-written forms, and printed on paper.
•    Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Indoor office environment, may on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment
