Job Description

The Application Manager is an individual contributor responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency, stability, and strategic evolution of AirAsia Group Enterprise products while ensuring these applications drive revenue, achieve cost savings, and meet compliance and qualitative objectives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to foster cross-departmental collaboration.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to;

Operational Management

  • Overseeing technical operations: This involves managing the day-to-day technical aspects of all Enterprise products such as maintenance, monitoring, and user support.

  • Ensuring application health: Making sure the applications are available, stable, and performing as expected. This includes meeting agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs) between IT and the business.

  • Problem management: Analyzing issues and trends reported through ISRs. This includes identifying root causes, implementing preventive or corrective measures, and/or identifying automation opportunities for increased efficiency.

  • Security and compliance: Maintaining and adhering to cybersecurity protocols to protect enterprise data and applications.

Strategic Development

  • Develop and articulate clear product strategies for availability and stability.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to identify and implement enhancement opportunities aligned with business growth plans.

Documentation and Compliance

  • Ensure all technical specification details (TSD), functional specification details (FSD), troubleshooting guides, test scripts, and other relevant documentation are up-to-date.

  • Participating in product audits by providing evidence, addressing any identified issues, and taking corrective actions to prevent future problems.

  • Assessing the performance of vendors that provide services related to airline applications and ensuring they meet high standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts across the application landscape.

  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and application performance.

Financial Management

  • Plan and manage financial aspects, ensuring effective utilization of Opex and Capex as per the product contract Statement of Work (SOW).

  • Drive cost-saving initiatives to optimize budget utilization and improve financial efficiency.​

Technical Account Management

  • Serve as the Technical Account Manager (TAM) for assigned accounts, ensuring Project Service Requests (PSR) are evaluated, and business cases are consulted and documented for sourcing and development while ensuring the requests are processed according to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Job requirements & qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in enterprise product management

  • Enterprise Technologies (Optional): Hands-on experience with Oracle, Salesforce, Workplace, Workday, JIRA, UIPath and Post-Sales System.

  • ITIL: ITIL V4 Certified

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills.

  • Business Acumen: Sharp risk acumen and regional organizational awareness.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to embrace flexibility and potential reassignment within ICT, ITSO, and/or the Application Management team.

  • On-call: Willingness to participate in a 24-hour on-call and standby rotation

Technical Skills:

  • Strong technical product handling experience.

  • Hands-on experience in software development.

  • Experience with one or more of the following core technologies and platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, GitLab, Oracle, etc. (Consider listing some common options instead of "any other")
