Rate Classification/Pay Range: $39.55 per hour.

Did you know that when natural gas is supercooled at -260°F or -162°C, it turns into a liquid state known as liquefied natural gas (LNG)? As a clear colorless, odorless, non-toxic liquid, the volume of LNG is about 600 times smaller than its gaseous state! The liquefaction process allows natural gas to be used as a transportation fuel and ships by sea all over the world via specialized LNG vessels.

Sounds exciting? Come join us today as an LNG Plant Operator! As a critical function of this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Enbridge's Hagar LNG Plant and Iroquois Falls Compressor Plant.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities):

  • Maintain the plant and associated equipment for the purposes of liquefying and vaporizing liquid natural gas.

  • In a safe and efficient manner, operate and maintain the liquefication and vaporization process, turbine compressors, all in-plant machinery and equipment including start-ups and shut-downs, service and repair engines, compressors, pumps, and motors.

  • Maintain buildings, grounds, and all in-plant piping and conduits.

Who You Are (Qualifications):

You will have the following combination of education and experience:

  • A minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to meet the Company's requirements as to "General Qualifications" which includes a standard technical proficiency assessment.

  • Dependable and safety focused with an ability to follow protocols and cooperate within a team.

  • A Refrigeration B certificate or a 3rd Class Operating Engineer certificate is desired OR possess the necessary skills to progress and obtain either certificate.

Working Conditions:

  • Responsible driving record with a valid G driver's license is required for this role.

  • Must be willing to perform 12-hour shift rotations with nights and weekend work.

Important Note: This role is considered safety sensitive, and as such, you may be required to undergo various background screenings. This may include, but is not limited to, a driving record abstract, criminal check, a company sponsored medical and drug testing.

Comment: This role is backfilling an employee who has gone on a leave. The contract duration for this temp position will be 6 months.
