About the role

To establish procedure for controlling, calibrating and maintaining inspection, measuring, and test equipment used in Convatec. To optimize measurement methods and scope in close collaboration with the design / development manager. Active participation in validation projects / development projects (measurement, numeracy, etc.). Training colleague’s & suppliers in statistical methods and metrology.

Key responsibilities

• Determine parameters to be measured.
• Identify the accuracy required for each measurement
• Select the inspection measuring and test equipment which is capable of achieving the required accuracy and precision.
• Create measurement programs for some equipment (Vision system)
• Perform MSA’s
• Perform CPK’s for quality department
• Change measurement methods
• Monthly calibration equipment
• Control of measurement equipment and conditions
• SPC trainer and controller
• Change frequency of measurements according SPC results

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Practical experience with measurement equipment, eg.3D measuring machine and handhold equipment.
• (required).
• Experience with quality management systems (required).
• Experience with document management (preferred).
• Good linguistic and written communication skills in English (required).
• Experience with MS Office Package, eg. Word and Excel (required) and knowledge of Lotus Notes
• (preferred).
• Knowledge of basic requirements in FDAs QSR, GMP and ISO 13485 or similar (preferred)
• Experience from the medical industry (preferred).
• Experience with work in project groups, eg. in development of products (preferred).
