Stryker is looking to hire Intern Engineer, Advanced Operations – to support new product introductions at Stryker Medical.

Stryker is looking to hire a Intern Engineer for the Advanced Operations team to support Medical Division – Acute Care Business Unit.

As the Intern Engineer, Advanced Operations you will have the opportunity to work on the design transfer of new products from R&D into production.

What you will do:

  • Designs, develops, and validates manufacturing process to bring new medical products to market.
  • Utilizes Process development tools such as PFMEA’s, Process Flows, Control Plans, Six Sigma Analysis, and Lean tactics to create stable and robust manufacturing procedures. 
  • Specifies process functional requirements to drive improvements in quality, cost, reliability, and efficiency in manufacturing.
  • Designs, develops, executes, and evaluates assembly procedures, product specifications and process validation plans.
  • Creates and reviews material specifications and bills of materials.
  • Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.
  • Utilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to review designs and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
  • Working in a cross-functional team environment to launch new products.


What we are looking for:

  • This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making
  • Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own discipline area and is considered basic.
  • The tasks are generally routine and manual but require analytical skills.
  • The job is expected to follow detailed and defined rules / instructions and to requires some ability to analyze complex product and/or process issues using independent judgement.
  • Must be able to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks.
  • This job typically requires no experience, but some experience is preferred
  • English proficiency at a good level is required
