This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Works in a highly collaborative environment, focused on supporting team members to deliver business value.
Collaborates with business partners to deliver sustainable solutions for analytics and process improvements.
Participates in or lead projects to create analytics solutions and provide business value.
Understands business processes and related data sources. Model data for reuse across analyst groups.
Acquires, cleans, and preprocess raw data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability; maintain knowledge of key systems and query those systems for data.
Conducts in-depth analysis of large datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends.
Communicates findings to stakeholders through charts, graphs, and presentations.
Creates visually compelling and easy-to-understand BI tools, primarily using PowerBI.
Supports analytics data solutions; work with system support teams to correct and/or enhance data.
Supports governance of BI tools and data assets to ensure consistent, optimal use by the organization.
Ensures integrity and quality of data through regular audits and validation processes.
Drives continuous improvement in business processes and data analytics best practices.
Participates in evaluation of new technologies to improve data insights, data management, and decision support.
Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related.
Four (4) years of relevant work experience required.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Preferred:
Strong passion for answering difficult questions with data. Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches to generate positive business results.
Experience with data analysis efforts: identifying data sources, querying data, performing exploratory data analysis/modeling, presenting historical insights/business justification, and affecting data-driven business changes.
Exposure to business intelligence self-service analytics software tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
Exposure to data transformation tools such as SQL, ADF, Synapse, PowerQuery, M, Databricks or others.
Experience with manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data from varying sources and communicating complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
Proven ability to think critically and solve problems, given incomplete information and/or ambiguous requirements. A flexible analytic approach that provides results at varying levels of precision.
