Job Description

Position Overview:

Rockwell Automation is looking for a Cyber Project Manager. You will oversee several projects and will track actions necessary to see a project to a successful conclusion. You will report to the Cybersecurity Delivery Office Director have demonstrated experience of leading complex projects. We are looking for someone with thinks critically, can adapt quickly to the known information, and takes ownership of decisions. You must have excellent written and oral communications skills and be proficient at working in a globally dispersed team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of projects within the program portfolio, manage assigned projects with a clear understanding of business, IT, and security context, and develops an understanding of cross-program portfolio dependencies.
  • Guide complex, enterprise projects, leading multiple efforts simultaneously.
  • Lead globally distributed teams.
  • Work with senior program management leadership to escalate decisions, when needed.
  • Perform core project management responsibilities, including guiding the project through formal approval and funding gates; develop a project plan that includes a detailed budget, project timeline, detailed task-driven schedule, project RACI, resource plan, and communication plan; and manage project execution from analysis/design through build, test, and deployment.
  • When leading an Agile project, partners with the scrum master and product owner on all activities.
  • Ensure that project status reports are relevant, transparent, and add value.
  • Partner with relevant IT and business hiring managers to ensure that the project has the skillsets and resources required for delivery

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, not now or in the future, for this job opening

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Typically requires 5+ years experience as a project manager in Cybersecurity or a software development setting; must have at least five years overall experience working in IT or a software development setting.
  • Experience as a project manager in IT or a software development setting 3+ years
  • Experience working in IT or a software development setting 5+ years
  • Experience using Agile methods and working on complex, integrated platforms is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Management preferred.
  • PMP, PgMP, and Scrum Master Certifications are a plus.
