Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and four (4) years of progressive clinical management. Must have four (4) years of RN experience including three (3) years of RN experience in perioperative nursing. Ambulatory Surgery experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, or Registration Required: Valid RN license.
Preferred Qualifications: American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Certification in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The role requires healthcare administration knowledge, strong organizational and analytical skills, and proficiency in PC software applications. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to interact across diverse groups, make independent decisions, and train, motivate, and supervise staff effectively.
Responsibilities:
Organizes, directs, and staffs patient access, patient care, and continued care services in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Collaborates with medical staff and other individuals in planning and facilitating efficient patient care services and patient management.
Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates administrative activities. Collaborates in tactical and strategic program planning. Establishes yearly goals for all assigned areas and implements action plans that support strategic goals.
Prepares budgets and monitors revenue and expenditures. Develops capital equipment plans and clinical space plans for ongoing operations and new programs.
Confers with administration and other pertinent individuals concerning policy and procedure review and recommendations, patient care, and operational issues. Responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of policies, procedures, programs, and regulatory compliance.
Maintains an organizational structure and staff to accomplish organizational goals and objectives; hires, supervises, and evaluates staff; ensures adequate staffing and coverage. Identifies and assists in resolution of problems between staff, physicians, and other departments. Responsible for ongoing clinical education, training and orientation. Ensures compliance with applicable standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.
Develops and maintains effective relationships internally and externally with physicians, staff, administration, governing authority, hospital outreach, local and national organizations, agencies, professional associations, and community stakeholders.
Demonstrates core standards of exceptional customer service.

Requires frequent exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, frequent exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, frequent reaching, frequent sitting, occasional standing, occasional twisting, and occasional walking.
