The team is based in the Netherlands at the Nike EMEA Brand Creative Studio.

WHO YOU WORK WITH
As a junior designer, you’ll work under the direction of a creative lead and alongside producers and narrative experts within the field of play creative team.
 

Outside of our Brand Creative team, your main partners are the Men’s Consumer Field of Play team who will build the strategy. Externally to Nike, you will work closely with agencies/artists to develop the executional craft of the projects.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our Junior Designers are exceptional team players, focused on execution. They help the team execute design across several mediums including art direction, moving image, graphic and spatial design. Versatile, eager to learn, and able to develop their skills, as they contribute to delivering holistic design solutions across all appropriate channels. They have a passion for creativity, sport and culture and are committed to staying up to date with current and future trends and technology.

A successful candidate will be encouraged to clearly and eloquently demonstrate the experience of the below crucial requirements to be considered. Candidates that meet these criteria will then be assessed based on the proficiencies also outlined below.

  • Minimum 2+ years graphic design and art direction experience in a branded content, agency, editorial or marketing environment.

  • A passion for the Athlete*, Sport* and Culture.

  • Solid portfolio of creative work, exhibiting a seasoned background in digital and editorial design.

  • Great knowledge and expertise in all aspects of layout, typography, illustration, identity, digital production and publishing across editorial formats and platforms.

  • Thorough understanding of today’s media landscape and how people engage with content, with in-depth knowledge of interactive communication, processes and user-interface design for digital products.

  • Ability to collaborate with and creatively manage freelance design talent.

  • Ability to work independently to deliver on individual responsibilities.

  • A solutions-oriented mentality with proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative quality.

  • Laser-sharp focus with ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.

  • Strong time management with ability to toggle between daily and long-term tasks, keeping a high volume of workstreams moving forward simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills; adept at presenting and defending creative work.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with natural ability to foster cross-functional teamwork and an open, positive and collaborative environment.

  • Innate curiosity and in-depth understanding of design culture, current and past.

  • Motion, 3D and Illustration ability, preferred.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will support on complex workstreams within creative project teams to develop and craft creative concepts for both product launches and campaigns across EMEA, delivering end-to-end creative for multiple channels, both digital and physical.

You will play a meaningful role in developing the work in different areas within the Men’s scope:

  • Extensions of Global Creative Concepts or Originate EMEA Creative Concepts.

  • Product Launches, Brand Events, Digital Experiences and Activations.

  • Strategy, Concept, Execution and deliver full funnel of creative.

  • Contribute to the craft and design of the Art Direction. Uphold excellence, ambition, and team spirit.

  • Contribute to best-in-class photography, video content, digital and experience design in service of the women’s creative team.

  • Ability to partner closely with photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, designers, and their agents.

  • Help craft art direction for performance video shoots, ensuring our content is always on-brand, diverse, contemporary, desirable and within agreed budgets.

  • Keep up to date with emerging trends in fashion, design, film, art, media and technology as relevant to Nike and the Men’s design team.

  • Collaborate with marketing, styling, retail and digital teams
    to meet brand vision and standards.

  • Ensure all projects are well-planned, creatively exceptional,
    and delivered on-time.

  • Review project work for highest standards of quality, consistency and success.
