The Role & What You Will Be Doing 

Supports the Finance function by assisting with financial reporting, operational accounting processes, and cross-functional finance activities. The role works closely with both FP&A and Technical Finance teams, contributing to accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and effective business partnering with operational departments such as HR, Payroll, and Supply Chain as well as all Commercial functions.

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and the Associate Finance Business Partner role will make an impact through the following responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and post general ledger journals, with a particular focus on payroll-related entries.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and assist with monthly close activities.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and provide analysis where required.
  • Provide finance support to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Assist with inventory reviews, including collaboration with manufacturing and inventory teams.
  • Support the calculation and monitoring of inventory provisions, including Net Realisable Value (NRV) assessments.

Payroll

  • Review payroll outputs and perform control checks to ensure accuracy before posting to the general ledger.
  • Work closely with HR and Payroll teams to resolve payroll-related queries.
  • Support payroll accounting and reconciliation processes.

Statutory

  • Support the external and internal audit processes alongside the Statutory and Controlling team.
  • Support the Head of Finance in their role as Senior Accounting Officer for the UK business.
  • Play a role in the design and implementation of key controls as required.

Other

  • Act as a point of contact for finance-related queries from shared service centres or internal stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • ACA Qualified accountant

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Ability to manage relationships across multiple countries
