Summary:

The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making processes, generating insights, and providing strategic guidance to optimize business operations across BIA globally. This position requires expertise in forecasting, decision support, research, statistical analysis, real-world data analysis, digital analytics, and measurement. The Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize advanced analytical techniques to enhance business performance and drive growth. Will be required to leverages technology, analytics, and AI to improve process efficiency, generate insights, and support decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive forecasting models and methodologies to project sales, site performance, supply, demand and other relevant factors within the biopharma industry
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze relevant data, market trends and historical performance
  • Apply advanced statistical analysis techniques and time series/predictive modelling to identify trends/drivers influencing forecasts
  • Conduct scenario analyses and simulation studies to evaluate the potential impact of various factors, such as market dynamics, pricing strategies, supply chain disruptions and regulatory changes
  • Monitor and track forecast accuracy, identify gaps or deviations and recommend corrective actions to improve forecast reliability.
  • Prepare and present forecast reports, dashboards and presentations to communicate findings, insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization to align forecasts with business goals and strategies
  • Leverage advanced analytics, AI/ML techniques, and automation tools to improve efficiency across forecasting processes.
  • Utilize modern data and visualization technologies to generate actionable insights using available data and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging methodologies and best practice forecasting and simulation in the biopharma industry
  • Provide training, guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and team members when required

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of statistical forecasting techniques, time series analysis and predictive modelling
  • Familiarity with forecasting software and advanced forecasting methodologies such as exponential smoothing, ARIMA, regression-based models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Proficiency in analytics, AI/ML concepts, and modern data technologies (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, cloud platforms), with the ability to leverage automation and advanced modeling to enhance forecasting and insights.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear manner
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability of forecasts
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate forecast findings into actionable insights and recommendations

Experience:

  • We welcome bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience 3+ years in a forecasting and analytics, preferably within the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Exposure to analytics, AI/ML, and data technologies (e.g., Python, R, SQL, BI tools) for advanced modeling and insights.
  • Familiarity with the biopharma industry, including market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and supply chain considerations
  • Certification or training in forecasting, demand planning, analytics or related disciplines is a plus.
