Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense Space and Security is currently looking for a CAD Design/Drawing Support Technician to join their team in Sylmar, CA.

Spectrolab Inc., is the world's largest manufacturer of spacecraft solar cells. The company was founded in 1956, and is one of the world's leading suppliers of photovoltaic solar cells, solar panels, searchlights, and solar simulators. Spectrolab has been supplying solar array panels to the space industry for 60 years.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assists in the development and maintenance of electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying Company, industry and governmental standards.
• Uses 2D Autocad and other basic design tools to prepare documentation and tooling templates.
• Supports panel design by preparing tooling template layouts, modifying existing designs and completing assigned tasks.
• Supports engineering panel design and plotting coordinating activities.
• Works under close supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Experience using 2D AutoCAD to generate electro-mechanical designs, wiring layouts, schematics, and detail views in 2D AutoCAD do you have

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 2 years' related work experience)

Relocation:

Summary pay range: $47,600 – $64,400
