Job Description:

Join Client Computing Group — Functional Validation System Stress Testing team to validate next-generation client silicon through advanced stress, power management, and concurrency testing. You'll work hands-on with real silicon, running and developing test content that ensures product quality meets targets before market release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and monitor automated test cycles on physical validation platforms
  • Triage test failures: analyze crash dumps, system logs, and event traces to classify root causes (silicon, driver, firmware, infrastructure)
  • File and track bugs with clear reproduction steps, logs, and evidence
  • Develop and maintain automated test flows for power state cycling, system resets, and concurrent stress workloads
  • Monitor station health, manage test infrastructure, and maximize lab utilization
  • Automate reporting and data collection using Python and REST APIs
  • Collaborate with design, firmware, and driver teams on issue resolution

Qualifications:

  • Qualifications:

    B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with at least 3 years of proven experience in the semiconductor industry
    Deep understanding of computer architecture (CPU, memory, power states, PCIe, USB)
    Programming experience, preferably Python
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Ability to work independently and within a team
    Good written and verbal communication in English

    Strong OS orientation and knowledge

     

    Advantage:

  • Familiarity with scripting/automation frameworks
  • Knowledge of PC hardware building blocks — processor, motherboard, DRAM, NVMe storage, and peripheral connectivity
  • Experience with lab environments and physical hardware debugging
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows system-level tools
  • Familiarity with version control (Git)
