Job Description:
Cambria is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Generalist to provide day-to-day human resources support to the assigned business units including employee relations, employee communications, performance management, HR training, employment law, new hire orientation and policy administration. This individual will need to be able to build trusting relationships, use critical thinking, ethical practice, effective communication, and cross-functional awareness to provide recommendations and drive change through the assigned business units.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day direction to managers on employee relations issues including policy and procedure interpretation, performance management, employment-related investigations, and adverse employment actions
Assist with investigations regarding employee relations matters, safety and performance issues, harassment, and other behaviors that may be a violation of Company policy
Provide mentorship to leaders on a variety of HR topics, including employee relations, performance management, and employee development.
Collaborate with hiring managers through the hiring process which includes establishing the job description, FLSA classification, and guides managers through the requisition approval process
Lead and manage the annual HR processes for assigned business units, including performance management, compensation cycle, talent reviews, and succession planning,
Guide leaders and employees through organizational change initiatives and help ensure smooth transitions
Participate in the development and facilitation of HR-related training for assigned business units as needed
Participate and collaborate with departmental staff in the development and implementation of Human Resources initiatives
Collaborate with other HR functions (Talent Acquisition, Payroll/HRIS, Learning & Development) to deliver coordinated HR solutions.
Proactively stay up to date with employment, federal and state law changes as well as ensure compliance with these laws
Assist with the new hire process, conducting orientation and answering employee questions during the process
Participate in the employee off-boarding, including conducting exit interviews as needed to identify trends and/or solutions to improve employee retention.
Utilize Workday to prepare routine and ad-hoc reports for assigned business units
Qualifications & Skills:
Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment-related laws and regulations
Demonstrated competency of HR compliance and practices
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to create effective relationships throughout the organization
Ability to advise management in performance management/hiring/termination decisions in accordance with laws and best practices, ensuring that the decisions are in the best interests of the company and mitigate risk
Proven experience navigating employee relations matters effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with Executives and Senior leaders
Ability to influence and provide input and feedback to management tactfully
High level of integrity and ability to keep confidential information private and secure
Strong sense of urgency, organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to navigate and pull reports in an HRIS system
Proven ability to exercise critical thinking and deal with ambiguous situations
Capability of exercising independent judgment and discretion while utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action
Proactive, self-starter with the ability to take initiative and seek solutions independently
Flexibility to adjust in a growing, changing environment
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business related required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of previous HR Generalist experience; including HR Business Partner experience, employee relations experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
Systems: Proficient in Google Suites, Microsoft Office, Workday experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: Office position requiring telephone and computer use. Able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally / sparingly (office supplies, packages, samples). May need to bend, reach, walk, or stoop occasionally. Prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
Travel Requirements: May travel between local Cambria locations.
Cambria’s starting salary for this position is $70,000 - $95,000. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
