What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This role ensures the accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of products to customers while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in logistics, warehouse operations, people leadership, and continuous improvement.

Location: This is an on-site position (5 days a week) based out of Cardinal Health’s Hudson, WI distribution center

Shift: Supporting Sunday–Thursday Night Shift operations (6:00 PM–2:30 AM or until completion) however, schedule is based on operational needs

Responsibilities:

• Manages department operations and supervises professional employees, front line supervisors and/or business support staff

• Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that support organizational goals and operational effectiveness

• Provides clear direction and oversight to ensure employees consistently adhere to company and site policies, procedures, and expectations

• Exercises sound judgement in making decisions that influence day-to-day operations, team performance, and customer experience

• Makes timely and effective decisions that drive short term operational results and support positive customer outcomes

• Builds and maintains effective working relationships with direct reports, peers, customers, suppliers, and leaders to support business objectives and operational success

• Regularly engage with stakeholders to identify, address, and resolve issues impacting operational performance and project execution

• Effectively engages stakeholders, addresses concerns, and builds consensus to support operational and strategic initiatives

Anticipated salary range: $87,700.00 - $125,300.00
