You will either specialize as a Technical Model Builder or a Functional Designer, depending on your strengths and career aspirations.

Role 1: Anaplan Consultant – Technical Model Builder

Job Description:

As a Technical Model Builder, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Anaplan models that support business planning and forecasting processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient Anaplan solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Anaplan models using best practices and performance optimization techniques.
• Translate complex business requirements into modular, maintainable model architecture.
• Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and validate model outputs.
• Develop and maintain data integrations between Anaplan and other systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
• Conduct unit testing, performance tuning, and documentation of models.
• Support end-user training and provide ongoing technical support.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Anaplan model building.
• Anaplan Level 2 Model Builder certification (Level 3 or Solution Architect is a plus).
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data structures, and formula optimization.
• Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is an advantage.

Role 2: Anaplan Consultant – Functional Designer

Job Description:

As a Functional Designer, you will lead the design and implementation of Anaplan solutions from a business perspective. You will work with stakeholders to define planning processes, gather requirements, and ensure the solution aligns with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead workshops to gather business requirements and define planning processes.
• Design functional architecture and user experience for Anaplan models.
• Collaborate with model builders to ensure functional requirements are accurately implemented.
• Develop user stories, test cases, and training materials.
• Drive change management and user adoption across business units.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in business planning, finance, supply chain, or related domains.
• Strong understanding of Anaplan’s capabilities and use cases.
• Experience in leading Anaplan implementations or enhancements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Anaplan certifications (Level 1 or 2) preferred; Solution Architect is a plus.
