Overview

The person in this role will work with Sales Managers, On-Site to drive conversion through the on-site client experience. The candidate must possess a strong understanding of the sales process, as well as event planning and operations.  This role will collaborate and communicate with all internal partners and clients. The candidate must develop, coordinate and implement a customized on-site sales strategy against each viable meeting opportunity. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate onsite-sales strategy against individual meeting opportunities with Sales Manager, On-Site

  • Assist Sales Manager, On-Site in converting meeting opportunities through the planning, organization, and execution of site visits, program planning sessions, and executive-hosted product knowledge events

  • Manage day-to- day site visit inbox.

  • Prioritize sites and communicate with sales managers with regard to client expectations, due dates and delivery.

  • Partner and engage with operating areas to create a seamless site visit client experience (Event Services/Park Event Operations, Resort Front Desk, Disney Event Group, Disney Institute, Disney Special Activities, Resort Recreation Services, Theme Park Operations)

  • Submit In-House requests & write detailed BEO’s for site visit catered experiences

  • Use systems appropriately to maintain accurate records, initiate reports and monitor sales activity.

  • Responsible for knowing and following all Disney company policies and guidelines.

  • Maintain and coordinate the use of company vehicles.

  • Develop and maintain reporting to track the impact and conversion of business as a result of the site process.

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Meetings and Conventions, including processes and workflows.

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency within a Windows environment and willingness to learn new software applications

  • Demonstrate strong Guest Service skills

  • Demonstrate strong relationship and influencing abilities.

  • Displays strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrates strong client management and partnering abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and on a team.

  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays.

  • Represent the Disney brand in all internal and external client interactions.

  • Ability to discover, understand and communicate Client needs, effectively and efficiently

  • Demonstrate business acumen.

  • Display strong time management skills, know how and when to impose deadlines and delegate tasks.

  • Knowledgeable in the Disney Advantage tools and uses them to create innovative solutions for our clients.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of sales, operations or event planning related experience including Event Services, Front Desk/Guest Relations and Premium Services.

  • Ability to present ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, well-organized manner, including the ability to run effective meetings.

  • Knowledge of Lightyear, Banquet Event Orders, CastApp, Certain, and/or A La Carte.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
