As a Global Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and executing product strategies for our digital hardware solutions. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure our products meet customer needs, market demands, and Xylem’s long-term strategic goals.

This role combines technical depth, market insight, and strategic product leadership, with opportunities to influence global roadmaps and mentor others within product management.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global product strategy and multi-year roadmaps for digital hardware solutions, aligned with Xylem’s business and sustainability objectives

• Lead products through the full lifecycle—from opportunity identification and concept development to launch, scaling, and continuous improvement

• Drive deep market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify trends, unmet needs, and portfolio growth opportunities

• Translate customer and market requirements into clear product definitions, including features, technical requirements, and value propositions

• Partner closely with engineering and R&D to guide development of electrical and digital hardware components (e.g., drives, gateways, pump controllers)

• Shape product positioning and go-to-market strategies, supporting sales and marketing with training, tools, and technical expertise

• Monitor product performance using data-driven KPIs, incorporating feedback and insights into roadmap and investment decisions

• Act as a global product leader and influencer, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, communicating clearly, and mentoring product management colleagues

Qualifications & Experience

• Preferably an Electrical engineering background

• Experience working with electrical or digital hardware components such as variable speed drives, pump controls, gateways, or industrial electronics

• A couple of years of experience in product management, engineering, or a related technical role

• Strong understanding of product management processes and tools

• Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and product lifecycle management

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across global, cross-functional teams

• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
