The Fixed Income Sales Operations Lead will play a pivotal role in defining the strategy for global team, ensuring that controls and processes are globally aligned and partnering with transformation leads to move the organization towards exception management model. This position requires a strategic leader with experience managing complex programs, an understanding of the business & regulatory processes and proven track record transforming business and client operational support. The role demands a deep understanding of business processes, risk based and metric driven change design, coupled with strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Define location strategy and resourcing requirements for the Fixed Income Sales Operations group.
Partner with the Transformation lead to define and implement the transformation agenda for the group, ensuring projects are adequately resourced and deliver on time.
Partner with the Risk lead to review, design and implement the risk and control program for the group, ensuring projects are adequately resourced and deliver on time.
Define and implement metric strategy for the group, ensuring transformation projects are prioritized in accordance with their impact on reduction in manual processes and risk. Implement strategy to ensure key metrics are regularly reviewed with senior management.
Manage multiple high priority projects, partner with technology leads and assist with budget, planning and policy formulation.
Articulate complex recommendations, negotiating with senior leaders and building credibility and trust across regions.
Advocate for mobility, diversity, training, compliance, and risk & control initiatives.
Develop partnerships with Technology, Compliance Risk, Finance, HR and key internal stakeholders.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
15+ years of relevant experience
Experience in Fixed Income Sales Operations is required
Advanced level experience in a related role with extensive experience in business, functional and people management preferred
Experience in management with Banking and Financial Institutions preferred
In-depth understanding of opportunities that exist within Financial Services and significant experience in Corporate Banking.
Demonstrated success dealing with senior and executive management
Proven ability to manage various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment.
Effective project management and negotiation skills.
Consistently demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
