Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems resulting in successful project completion.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 

• Able to perform all essential Foreman/Carpenter responsibilities.

• Able to self-perform work, as needed.

• Attend and participate in Safety Training Programs and enforce safety procedures.

• Develop and maintain Clients confidence.

• Recruit, organize, train, direct and coordinate field construction team including subcontractor’s work.

• Assure work quality - set standards for quality control.

• Order materials and tools and plan supply allotment to avoid “crisis” buying

• Prepare necessary reports (e.g., time sheets, work orders, daily reports and invoice approval).

• Document and complete all punch lists in a timely manner.

• Review all drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals.

• Chair pre-job conference, regular subcontractor meetings.

• Oversee start-up testing and turnover to Client.

• Document final close-out and Client’s acceptance.

• Ability to supervise multiple projects over a large geographic area as required.

• Create scopes of work clearly defining owner’s project request.

• Business development for Facility Solutions and other Swinerton Services.

• Able to educate client to the construction process.

• Complete other responsibilities as assigned


MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Extensive field construction experience at supervisory level
• Capable of acquiring STS Certification within six months of hire
• Working knowledge of all crafts (ability to read and understand specifications for all trades), and foreman or journeyman in at least one trade
• Knowledge of OSHA laws
• Knowledge of job scheduling, planning

• Able to work evening shifts

• Able to use iPad/smartphone with service software (training available).

• Strong sense of urgency
