Position Overview:
 Tessell is seeking a highly skilled Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our sales and technical teams to engage prospective clients, understand their business needs, and design tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with relational databases, a strong track record in customer engagement, and expertise in driving successful Proof of Concept (PoC) implementations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Engagement: Work alongside sales teams to understand customer requirements and business objectives. Act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process, presenting technical solutions that address client needs.
  • Solution Design & Architecture: Architect solutions using Tessell’s offerings to meet customer technical and business requirements. Provide guidance on integration, data management, and scalability.
  • Proof of Concept (PoC) Leadership: Lead and manage PoC engagements to demonstrate the value, feasibility, and benefits of Tessell’s solutions.
  • Technical Presentations & Demos: Deliver compelling product demos and technical presentations, emphasizing the functionality and unique value of Tessell’s solutions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams (sales, product, engineering) and external stakeholders (clients, partners) to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key customer stakeholders to understand their evolving needs and ensure successful post-sale adoption of solutions.
Key Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience6+ years in  solution architecture, or technical consulting, preferably within the technology or software industry. Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL or modern analytical databases) is essential. Experience with Oracle, MS SQL & general DBaaS technologies is a plus. SaaS experience is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in designing and architecting solutions with relational databases and associated technologies. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration patterns is preferred. Knowledge of data management, analytics solutions, and database migration projects is beneficial.
  • Communication & Presentation: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with clients and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Ability to analyze customer requirements and design scalable, innovative solutions. Proven experience working effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Be willing to learn on the job, take responsibility and grow in a fast paced startup environment.
