Skill : DynamoDB Administration (NoSQL Administration) Key Responsibilities : · Act as the ongoing interface between the client and AWS DynamoDB services. · Dedicated to quality, ensuring highly available, scalable, and cost-optimized DynamoDB systems. · Must be able to accurately identify and resolve DynamoDB issues, interpret client requirements, and design solutions based on deep knowledge of NoSQL data modeling and AWS best practices. Must Have Skills : AWS DynamoDB (table design, indexing, partitioning, Streams, Global Tables, DAX), CloudWatch monitoring, IAM security, KMS encryption. Good To Have Skills : Exposure to other NoSQL platforms (CosmosDB, MongoDB) or multi-cloud knowledge (Azure/GCP) and other AWS Services Technical Expertise: · Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of DynamoDB databases within defined operating models and processes. · Monitor DynamoDB tables for performance, throttling, hot partitions, and latency issues; resolve incidents and service requests. · Perform core DynamoDB functions including table creation, capacity management (RCU/WCU), backups, restores, Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), and user access management. · Collaborate with developers on DynamoDB data modeling, efficient partition key design, and access patterns to optimize queries. · Update and improve documentation, runbooks, and procedures for DynamoDB-specific operations. · Proven hands-on experience in DynamoDB administration including Streams, Global Tables, DAX (DynamoDB Accelerator), and TTL (Time-to-Live). · Strong knowledge of performance tuning — identifying hot keys, optimizing indexes (LSI/GSI), reducing scans, and cost optimization strategies. · Experience integrating DynamoDB with AWS services like Lambda, Kinesis, S3, API Gateway, and CloudWatch for monitoring and automation. · Ability to handle incidents, service requests, and problem management related to DynamoDB.
