About the Role:

The discovery team is responsible for the heart of the ASPM product: our capability to automatically connect to the customers’ application environment, discover their backend’s composition, and describe it in an understandable way.

As a manager of the discovery team you’ll be responsible to understand and develop capabilities to scan every conceivable form of cloud infrastructure, API, and application - from low-level understanding of how APIs work to their usage patterns and how to describe them to the user.

Together with the sales team, you’ll be the organization’s first and most important gateway to the customer, responsible to understand and represent the customer to the rest of R&D. Being the source-of-truth for onboarding of new applications places the team in a critical role in ASPM, making the capability to create effective communication paramount.

If you seek to lead a team responsible for a great amount of knowledge and capabilities, while being critical to communication with customers and with R&D, then this position is for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead a talented team of developers, researchers and network specialists in developing ASPM’s platform

  • Mentor and help your team evolve and grow while achieving company goals

  • Become a key decision maker in technical, architectural, product, and procedural matters

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance, distributed infrastructure for inspecting applications

  • Establish, nurture, and implement an efficient and effective research and development process in collaboration with Product Managers and other Team Leads

  • Help solve complex customer issues using our solutions and platform

  • Resolve complex problems in large-scale backend infrastructures by identifying issues and implementing solutions

  • Provide technical leadership to team members through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Tech Stack:

  • Go

  • Kubernetes

  • AWS

  • Kafka

  • PostgreSQL

  • Linux

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience

  • 2+ years of experience as a leader: managing a team and leading projects from start to finish

  • Experience in working with databases and backend software development

  • Hands-on experience with networking concepts, traffic protocols

  • Experience with developing and maintaining enterprise-level and high-scale production systems

  • Mentality of a team player, sense of ownership and ability to work and make decisions under pressure

  • Advantage - Experience with Windows/Linux internals, operating systems, embedded and low-level background

  • Advantage - familiarity with SaaS and modern cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP
