Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior QA Manual Tester with extensive experience in data testing to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of the software development lifecycle, expertise in manual testing methodologies, and a proven ability to lead testing efforts for small to mid-sized projects. This role involves working with diverse data sources such as SQL databases, APIs, and file-based systems to ensure data integrity and software quality.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead and coordinate testing efforts for small to mid-sized projects, ensuring testing objectives are achieved effectively.
Plan and execute comprehensive manual testing processes in alignment with the software development lifecycle.
Validate and verify data accuracy, integrity, and quality across SQL databases, APIs, and file systems.
Conduct API testing using tools such as Swagger and ReadyAPI.
Write and execute complex database queries for data validation.
Identify vulnerabilities and security risks using Web Penetration tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing scenarios, cases, and objectives.
Implement testing methodologies tailored to agile Scrum, Kanban, XP, or waterfall frameworks.
Test cloud-based applications leveraging AWS services like S3, EC2, RDS, and Lambda.
Communicate testing progress and results to stakeholders and leadership effectively.
Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to peers.
Focus on maintaining software quality and reliability while adhering to industry-specific requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in CIS, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.
Expertise in manual testing, particularly in data testing and validation.
Proficiency in writing and executing complex SQL queries.
Experience with API testing tools such as Swagger and ReadyAPI.
Familiarity with Web Penetration tools for security testing.
Hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda).
Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in agile and waterfall development methodologies.
Programming skills in Java or similar languages for automation testing.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within Scrum teams.
Test lead experience on multi-tester projects is a plus.
Experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
