The Opportunity
This position works out of our location in Wiesbaden (Abbott GmbH) in the Abbott Diabetes Care division that is focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Managing and executing advanced analytics projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Designing and executing data-driven campaigns to support customer experience, marketing, and other business functions.
- Analyzing campaign performance and provide actionable insights to optimize marketing strategies.
- Developing and implementing advanced machine learning models and data analytics solutions.
- Identify and prioritizing advanced analytics projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Utilizing change management techniques to facilitate the adoption of analytics solutions within the organization.
- Conducting hands-on data analysis, model development, and validation.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field from a top university.
- 15+ years of overall experience focusing on B2C mass markets (e.g. e-commerce, retailers, digital banking)
- 7+ years of extensive hands-on experience in advanced analytics, including machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
- Proven experience in leading analytics teams both internal and external.
- Proven track record of AI projects especially on text analytics, marketing analytics and forecasting on cloud platforms: AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker.
- Vast experience with AWS tech: Athena, Redshift, Glue; Databricks; and visualization tools: PowerBI.
- Experience with Informatica tools such as CDQ, Data Profiling, Data Catalog.
- Proven experience in managing and delivering complex advanced analytics projects.
- Good understanding of IT architecture and IT landscapes.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor complex projects effectively.
- Good insight into data management concepts.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels coupled with remarkable presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Fluent in English (other European language is a plus)
