ABOUT THIS POSITION

As a Senior Sales Specialist, you will play an integral role in the success of our organization. You will be responsible for servicing and deepening participant relationships by providing foundational retirement strategy and insights, general portfolio needs, and resolving complex situations. As part of our sales team, you will identify and qualify high-value participants to a Retirement Specialist or Financial Consultant who will deliver enhanced personalized consultations. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for inbound participant service requests

  • Respond to requests for investment, mutual fund, and account information. Resolve complex account issues

  • Identify and qualify participants to be referred to a Retirement Specialists and/or Financial Consultants to advance the relationship

  • Demonstrate a consultative approach to gain a thorough understanding of the participant's needs and offer appropriate solutions

  • Retain assets through education and guidance of available plan-specific and general distribution options

  • Deliver on defined sales targets and other role-based responsibilities

  • Understand the overall Financial Services industry and related legal, tax, and regulatory issues to guide clients

  • Develop and maintain proficient knowledge of T. Rowe Price products and services

  • Follow up with clients from inbound retention opportunities

  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • Exceptional client service skills with strong communication skills

  • Possess intellectual curiosity and interest in developing business and financial acumen

  • Demonstrate sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and hyper focused on compliance and risk mitigation

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and adapt to a wide variety of internal and external factors, all while pursuing excellence with passion and humility

PREFERRED

  • 4+ years of total relevant work experience within the financial services industry

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role. This role requires the FINRA Series SIE 6 and 63 licenses to be obtained within 6 months of accepting the role.

WORK FLEXIBLITY

This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week after the successful completion of a training program.

Base salary ranges:

$54,000 - $71,500 for the location of: California, New York
$54,000 - $71,500 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$54,000 - $71,500 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and All other US locations

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
