M-F, 8:00 - 4:30 PM, no weekends/holidays/call. This position is over our outpatient infusion team.

Pay Range

$44.15 - $66.25

Where You Will Work:

Atrium Health Levine Cancer Pineville is an outpatient medical hematology/oncology clinic and infusion center located in Shelby NC.  We specialize in treating adults with Gastrointestinal cancers, Genitourinary cancers, Breast cancers, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, and Lung cancers. We provide comprehensive care including onsite laboratory and infusion services for chemotherapy. Because this location is part of Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute, physicians at Pineville participate in clinical trials and research studies, giving patients access to emerging therapies when appropriate.

The infusion area consists of 29 treatment chairs and is supported by a dedicated team that includes approximately 15 direct reports, two chemotherapy coordinators, one VAT RN, and APP coverage.

We’re Looking For:

  • BSN required, RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Two years of Nursing experience needed
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) is required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam.

What You’ll Do:

  • Supports the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, nursing service administration and delivery of care in the department
  • Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel in the department
  • Assists with coordination of communication at regular intervals throughout shifts via staff meetings/huddles to exchange information/ promote dialogue with teammates
  • Collaborates with manager to ensure understanding and compliance with federal and state laws, to include healthcare services and practice, while complying with all required regulations and policies
  • Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians at prescribed frequencies to gain insight into patient care, employee, and physician satisfaction and appropriateness of patient care and/or department operations
  • Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with applicable legal or policy parameters or principles
